Welcome to Burrst Nayomie, I really enjoyed your debut. The scene was really well set and atmospheric.
As critique I would say there's a lot left unsaid about the relationship between the characters and the events surrounding the death. That may be intentional, and as the reader you do start to guess at connections and causes, but when I'd finished I still felt unsure about the conclusions I'd drawn. In fact I'm still curious to know the back story!

Gripping! I don't know why but I love stories around gambling, especially if there's some sort of system or cheat being employed. Anyway loved it!

Hi Angela. Very enjoyable. There's a nice intimate tone to the character's internal dialogue, and I found myself quickly viewing things from his perspective. Seems like a good starting point as well, plenty of potential in a bag of skulls :)

Hi @Angela Watt, thanks for your comment, I'm glad you enjoyed it and as you highlighted there's definitely suppose to be a lesson in there. Though whether my niece will have picked up on that, or decided to ask santa for a dragon next year I'm not entirely sure :)

Written and spoken at Christmas for my niece :)
It resulted in us spending the rest of the afternoon drawing dragons whilst she amended the story slightly - to involve a princess who shoots the dragon with a cannon (which she happens to carry around with here discreetly). But don't fear, the dragon recovers in hospital and later helps a granny whilst roller skating in the park (the dragon that is - obviously the granny wouldn't be roller skating.)
I couldn't make it up - seriously I couldn't!

Hi Susie, if you have permission to use the audio then you are free to post it on Burrst. We don't require work to be exclusive, only that you own it, or have the right to post it :) Hope that helps.

Thanks for liking my comment :)
When you comment if you use the @ symbol followed by the username of the person (an autocomplete should appear if you start to type their name or username), they will get an email letting them know you've mentioned them in a comment. You don't need to use an @ when your leaving a comment for the bursts author because they always get an email to let them know.
The autocomplete system isn't perfect - it's an area I need to improve, so any problems let me know :)
