I want to wake up
cold and teetering on the edge of the bed
You are stretched out
with the blanket tangled
around your bare skin,
your motionless body.

I want to reach for you
in a drowsy daydream in which I'll remain,
I'll pull you in
to feel your heart beat
like tiny butterflies
against my ribcage.

I want to hold you
and you will cling to me like you'll never let me go,
I'll feel your breath
graze the nape of my neck,
It whispers such sweet nothings
from your beautiful unconscious.

I want to wake you
with kisses to every inch of your skin,
You press your grin
against my shoulder,
Look at me with those sleepy eyes
and speak intimate things.
