Where a leaf falls to its resting place when its mother sheds her Autumn brown.
How dice reveal each dotted face in any game in any town.

It’s random, my friend.

When a rainbow strikes its peacock pose with shades of blue and green and red.
Where a bee will greet a perfumed rose out of all the blooms in a flower bed.

It’s random, my friend.

When a passing sight stirs a memory of forgotten years, long since expired.
When a sound or smell casts a reverie where we muse the vaults of past desired.

It’s random, my friend.

When the skies above, they rain or shine, a flurry of wind, or hail, or snow.
The flip of a coin, it’s yours or mine when heads means yes and tails means no.

It’s random, my friend.

When a coloured row of numbered spheres wins a lucky soul the million prize.
Throughout the world, throughout the years, where one man lives, another man dies

It’s random, my friend.

As we sail through life, we love, we hate, some pass us by, some stay a while.
Could it be luck, could it be fate how I wake up and I see your smile?

It’s meant to be, my love.

Hi @Mikey Jackson, liked this a lot especially the last verse.

One thing (I hope you don't mind) we discourage authors from adding a byline to their bursts as it's always added to the top of the burst itself. We like people to be able to click your name so they can link through to your profile and read more of your work.

I just noticed in your bio your not able to change your avatar (boo Burrst), sorry about that. Does it allow you to select an image or does literally nothing happen?

I loved this! Unique format, and I especially liked "When a passing sight stirs a memory of forgotten years, long since expired. When a sound or smell casts a reverie where we muse the vaults of past desired."

Lovely, you obviously have a talent for stirring emotions and I hope you write more like this! :D

Hi Jessica. This is actually my first poem. I usually write novels, short stories and scripts.

Anthony. I'll message you about the problem.
